The year in which the hands and creativity of an English writer gave rise to the magical world of Harry Potter, a character who has known how to conquer the world with his adventures and stories …

Could a state like Florida, full of life and very beautiful for attractions after having long wandered the paradise of Walt Disney with the well-known “Walt Disney World”, could you miss the adventures of our wizard Harry Potter? I do not think so…

It seems that Orlando is always at the center of world attention by hosting our Harry today.

“The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” in Orlando is a must-see for any fan of the world’s most famous wizard.

Opened in 2010, it continues to record dizzying figures every year thanks to the expansion that does not seem to end. The main places of the saga are faithfully reproduced, from the talking pictures, to the snow on the roofs of Hogsmeade. The lines are long but the experience will be unforgettable. Indeed, magical.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is located in Orlando within the two parks that make up Universal Orlando Resort:

A) Universal Studios Florida is home to the Diagon Alley section

the amazing Diagon Alley

B) Islands of Adventure includes the Hogsmeade section

The reconstruction of Diagon Alley is truly evocative; to get there you must first take 2 steps through the narrow streets of London, not without noticing the building where Harry Potter moves in the last episodes and the Nottetempo, the magical double-decker bus of the saga. Turning the corner, as if by magic, Diagon Alley will appear in front of you, where it is really difficult not to get excited walking among the many locations you loved in the film (Ollivanders, the Weasley brothers’ shop, the Gringotts bank, the alleys of Dark Knockturn Alley …). If you want to taste a butterbeer you can sit …

In Hogsmeade, the original section of the park, the homonymous village and the famous magic castle of Hogwarts are reconstructed. Also in this case the quality of the reconstruction is excellent (also here you will find Ollivanders and the opportunity to taste a butterbeer) and, if you do the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey carousel, you will be able to enter the castle with lots of talking paintings.

The area of Universal Studios (Diagon Alley) can boast a more suggestive reconstruction but in “Islands of Adventure” you will find more rides. However, these are subjective impressions: the truth is that both boast remarkable attractions and the best thing, if you are a fan of the famous magician, is undoubtedly to visit both, also because this way you will have access to Hogwarts Express, the magic train that connects the 2 parks and which at the same time represents a truly fascinating experience for those who loved the film.

For magician lovers, they should not be lost absolutely, so to do in the first place:

A) Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey

The Forbidden Journey is a merry-go-round with 3D effects and real installations (like dragons spitting fire). A ride on a broom that traces some of the most exciting moments of Harry Potter’s adventures, between dementors and Quidditch games. It is located inside Hogwarts Castle. For fans of the series, this is the top attraction.

B) Flight of the Hippogriff

Near the castle there is also Flight of the Hippogriff which refers to the part where Hagrid teaches magicians to fly on the hippogriff (one of the magical creatures). It is an outdoor roller coaster.

C) Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure

A motorcycle adventure accompanied by Hagrid along the nearby forests, passing through the most frightening fierce beasts and beasts of the saga. Like Flight of the Hippogriff, the carousel is a roller coaster (roller coaster type) but definitely more adrenaline.

Among the shows do not miss “The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle”, a light show projected on the castle every month for certain days.

Diagon Alley has fewer rides than Hogsmeade, but many more shops and restaurants, as well as the famous Knight Bus.

Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts:

It is the most famous attraction of Diagon Alley and consists of a roller coaster in the dark with 3D effects. It doesn’t have any important descents and you won’t find yourself upside down, so don’t worry if you’re not a roller coaster type; it is an attraction for everyone even if it is quite lively.

And if you have a combo ticket (for both theme parks) don’t miss this amazing ride harry potter and the escape from Gringotts. You are going to feel part of the movie – it’s really outstanding. Even the waiting in the queue is part of the adventure – Universal Orlando done everything in there power to help you feel like you’re inside Gringotts.

So it doesn’t really matters if you are a harry potter fan or not – the rides are fantastic with 3D (some says 7D) so enjoy the moment and don’t forget to taste the hunny bear.
